Snapshots, a musical happening for 1 performer, 8-channel sounds and lighting design gets another performance on 4/3/2006 in the MEIT at UNT. The premiere on 2/13/2006 was not well documented so this is an attempt to capture the piece again in a live performance. James Woodhall contributed much to the success of the performance.
Two of Hsiao-Lan’s new works received world premiere on 2/13/2006 in the MEIT at University of North Texas. As part of the agreement as a scholarship recipient, four UNT composers presented new compositions on this concert.
Tale of an Unborn Child for flute and piano was performed by flutist Cecilia Hamilton and pianist Daniel Zajicek. The subject of the piece is heavy, and the performers did a fine job carrying out the unspoken message.
Snapshots for 1 performer, 8-channel sounds, and lighting design was performed by James Woodhall. Special thanks go to lighting crew Chapman Welch and Sebastian Zaberca. This piece won the audience’s applause with its humor and surprise.
