Rugged Edges premiere
Rugged Edges for string orchestra will have its premiere performance on Sunday, March 7, at 4pm, at First United Methodist Church in Denton, TX. Chamber orchestra of Denton will be lead by conductor Mr. Dax Stokes.
Admission is free.
Rugged Edges wins Competition for Composers
Rugged Edges for string orchestra is one of the three winners of the 2003 Chamber Orchestra of Denton Competition for Composers. The judges’ panel consists of the conducting staff of the COD, a member of the orchestra, and a member of the composition faculty at the University of North Texas. The world premier will take place in March 2004 in Denton Texas under the direction of Mr. Dax Stokes with the Chamber Orchestra of Denton.
Latest composition
Latest composition Rugged Edges for string orchestra was completed in October 2003. This piece is written for non-professional string orchestra with an emphasis on modern textures.
