Teaching

Hsiao-Lan Wang has always been an enthusiastic teacher. She started giving private lessons on the piano, theory and aural skills when she was still in high school. She has taught at the collegiate level for the past ten years on composition and music technology topics while maintaining a private teaching studio. To her, teaching is an indispensable way to explore her musical intentions. She also appreciates the energy and inspiration her students bring her. She is fortunate to have students who have gone on to win music awards, pursue advanced studies, and secure work in the industry.
